Event listings show level labels on classes and workshops. These describe the instruction level organizers expect — not a test you must pass to attend.

Common level labels

LabelWhat it generally means
All LevelsOpen to everyone; material is accessible to newcomers and experienced dancers alike
BeginningAimed at people new to the material or the style
Beyond BeginningSome prior familiarity assumed — not a first-ever class
IntermediateExpects solid fundamentals in the style
Int/AdvIntermediate and advanced material combined
AdvancedFor experienced dancers

These labels appear on the listing itself. They are separate from the beginner-friendly tag, which signals that newcomers are explicitly welcome regardless of level label.
